Quail Area Walkabout

A perfect September afternoon.  The sun was still warm, the light diffused, crickets chirping and a lone hawk crying in the distance.
No distractions.  No dog, no phone, no bags, just me, the girls and my camera.

'Tis the last rose of summer,
Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone."
-   Thomas Moore

Departing summer hath assumed
An aspect tenderly illumed,
The gentlest look of spring;
That calls from yonder leafy shade
Unfaded, yet prepared to fade,
A timely carolling.

-  William Wordsworth, September

This was wonderful. They look so intensely interested in what they're doing.
